El evento Nikita Pro Junior de Sopelana se ha posicionado como una de las pruebas más importantes en el tour profesional de la ASP en la categoría junior.

Debido a los malos pronósticos de oleaje que barajaba la organización, se tuvo que comprimir mucho las rondas de los más de 150 competidores de toda Europa se direon cita en la localidad vizcaína.
