Zarautz acogerá por cuarto año consecutivo el Campeonato Mundial de Surf del circuito profesional WQS, desde el 31 de agosto al 5 de septiembre.
Este año, el SAN MIGUEL PRO ZARAUTZ presentado por Euskaltel contará con una estrella más, convirtiéndose así en un campeonato 6 estrellas, el máximo nivel para un circuito WQS, que se verán reflejadas tanto a nivel deportivo como organizativo y con un festival de gran importancia con conciertos todos los días a partir de las 20: 00 h.
El Club de Surf de Zarautz (ZSE), organizador oficial del evento, contará durante los dos próximos años con el patrocinio oficial de San Miguel y este año, nuevamente, con Euskaltel como copatrocinador.
El campeonato reunirá tanto a surfistas internacionales del máximo nivel como locales. Entre estos últimos destacan Aritz Aranburu y Hodei Collazo. Se repartirán un total de 145.000 dólares en premios, de los que el ganador de la prueba recibirá 20.000$.
Dada la pérdida de Campeonato WCT de Mundaka, Zarautz adquiere, este año, un protagonismo mayor. |
