 La II Edición del Caravia Surf Festival ´09 concluyó el fin de semana pasado con un rotundo éxito de participación deportiva y una notable asistencia de público, que siguió no solo las pruebas deportivas sino el amplio programa de actividades desarrolladas en este festival. ¿Quieres verlo todo?

Ya en competición, el surfista Igor Muniain, de Zarautz, se clasificó primero en la modalidad de Surf, seguido de Carlos Marques, de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; Javier Medina, también de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, y Asier Muniain, de Zarautz.
Julián Cuello Por otra parte, en la modalidad de Longboard, quedó primer clasificado Gabriel Santana, de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, seguido de Ricardo Fernández Palomeque, de Caravia; Jorge Juan Cabrera, de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, y Rubén Fuente, de Cantabria. Asimismo, el mejor junior fue Javier Ascanio, de Tenerife, y el mejor junior asturiano fue Alvaro Artidiello, de Caravia. Por otro lado, el vencedor de la expresión session – exhibición de maniobras de alta precisión y complicación técnica – fue Julián Cuello, de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Gabriel Santana La mejor ola del evento - la mejor puntuada en el ámbito de la competición – fue para Javier Medina, de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Igor Muniain El resto de actividades programadas en esta II Edición del Caravia Surf Festival – Duelo musical de raperos, conciertos musicales, exhibición de bike trial con Javier Alonso (Subcampeón del mundo), etc – contaron también con importante asistencia de público y cosecharon un notable éxito.
De esta forma, este Festival se consolida como una de las citas ineludibles del calendario deportivo del surf en España, y también como un evento de marcado carácter cultural y turístico, que impulsa los flujos de visitantes en toda la comarca oriental y en Asturias.
A nivel organizativo, el evento lo organiza la Escuela Asturiana de Surf, y en el orden institucional, cuenta con el apoyo de la Mancomunidad del Sueve, el Ayuntamiento de Caravia y el Gobierno del Principado.
