Parkinson se lleva el Rip Curl Bells Beach |

Joel Parkinson, australiano de 27 años, ha conseguido la victoria en el Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach tras imponerse a su compatriota Adam Robertson, de 26 años, que participaba como wildcard, sobre olas de 2 metros en Bells Beach.
Esta supone la segunda ocasión que Parkinson logra la ‘campana’ (la primera fue en el 2004), y la reputación que otorga este evento en el WCT es algo con lo que todo surfero profesional sueña.
"Ganar en casa es probablemente la forma mas especial de ganar y este es el trofeo mas especial que puedes conseguir," dijo Parkinson. "No hay otro trofeo en el mundo del surf que tenga el prestigio y el honor que este tiene. Conseguirlo de nuevo y tenerlo durante un año va a ser increíble."
La siguiente parada en el WCT 2009 será el Billabong Pro Teahupoo del 9 al 20 de mayo 2009.
